Most people who visited South Africa commented on the delicious traditional cuisine on offer, ranging from the traditional Braai (The South African version of a barbeque) to Bobotie, Oxtail, Venison and slow roasted Leg of Lamb with oven baked sweet potatoes and deliciously prepared vegetables.
A day at Lagai Roi Lodge starts with a Farmer's Breakfast, consisting of Mielie Pap (an African version of polenta) and a variety of other cereals, Boerewors (a delicious South African Sausage), bacon, scrambled or fried eggs, baked beans, savoury ground beef, mushrooms and fried tomato. Fresh fruit salad, a variety of bread with numerous jellies and jams, freshly brewed filter coffee and tea, as well as fresh fruit juices are served in a “bottomless” fashion.
Buffet lunch and dinners consist of a variety of dishes, from traditional South African Bobotie and oven baked Lamb Pie to International Fusion style cooking. Hors d’oeuvres, a main course and delicious deserts are on offer, including our world renowned Malva Pudding, THE best sticky toffee pudding you will ever eat!
All meals are served in our cosy dining room where guests can relax and enjoy their food.
Freshly baked pastries, cakes and other delicacies are on offer during both morning and afternoon teas and a variety of teas are served, including the delicious local Rooibos Tea.
We have a fully licensed bar that have a large variety of excellent local wines, local as well as international beers and soft drinks.
